About

Design an app for parents to purchase and resell Children’s clothing!

Kids outgrow very fast and such expensive fancy clothing sits in the closet unused. This app allows parents to sell unused, good condition clothes and declutter the space and make some cash. On the other hand it also helps parents purchase a kid's fancy clothes with ease, and for for less price by saving some money.

Project Goal

Problem Statements

To create an intuitive and engaging mobile platform that empowers parents to easily buy and sell gently used fancy children’s clothing, fostering a sustainable and community-driven marketplace

Purchaser’s Problem statement

Ramona is a cleaning lady who works on daily wages and needs an app to purchase pre-used fancy clothes for her daughter because buying new clothes is out of her budget.

Seller’s Problem statement

Lisa is a working mom with a busy schedule who needs an app to sell her kids used fancy clothes because kids outgrow those clothes which are in good condition. The purchase price is very high and it’s costly to just give away after a couple of uses

Tools Used

  • Hand sketching low fidelity wireframes

  • Figma

In this case there are two kinds of users: Sellers and Buyers. After doing user research by survey method and considering user journey map I came up with personas for seller and buyer.

While Ideating, I created storyboards and then paper wireframes.

Paper wireframes were converted to Digital wireframes and prototypes for User testing.
User testing was dome by moderated and unmoderated methods. Total 5 Users participated.
Design iterations were done based on the used feedback.

Design Solution

After iterating Digital wireframes, I once again tested them with couple of users and was able to come up with back and forward buttons in the footer area instead of home icon, and using logo to go to homepage.
Then finally I came up High fidelity wireframes and a Mockup.

This is how it Works..

My role and Project Learnings

My Role:
I worked on this project as a User researcher and UX designer.
Learnings:
  • Main goal of this project was to understand a lifecycle of a product, research and understand user needs, user testing to test the design, iterate design as per user feedback, create wireframes, prototypes and mockups.
  • Empathizing with user is the most important thing.
  • Taking feedback in a positive manner and iterating design  as required while keeping user in the center and front.
